The Twilight Zone
One of my favorite shows of all time isn't what you would call a recent television series, but it is one of the most unique and genius shows ever created. This brilliant series is called The Twilight Zone! The Twilight Zone was written by legendary writer, actor, and producer Rod Serling. You may be thinking, why is this show so great? My answer is the diverse and mysterious stories throughout each episode. The series is referred to as a anthology series so it does not have a general plot and the same characters although they did tend to recycle actors for other episodes as a new character.

The Twilight Zone is not a real place like France or a local store but thought of to be a place between reality and imagination. It is explained by Rod Serling before every episode. He describes this Twilight Zone as, "There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone."

Each episode also holds a moral in each story. All episodes hold a greater meaning then perceived by what happens in the episode its self. For example in the episode The Monsters are Due on Maple St, takes place on an average suburban street where kids are laughing and playing people are walking outside, enjoying the sun, ect.. But an unusual power outage occurs. The people on the street try to see what is going on but even the cars won't start. After not even a day in the mysterious power outage a man is mistakenly shot, people accuse each other, and riots occur. At the very end of the episode we find out that aliens are the ones who turned off all power, and they even mention that taking over the world is going to be easier than expected. The meaning of the story is that people will destroy themselves and each other rather than make things better or figure the problem out.

Music

Music
I love all kinds of music! I enjoy rock, classic rock, R&B, hip hop, rap, raegae,...the only type of music I don't enjoy that much is country. My most favorites are hip hop and rap! There are so many diffrent artists in hip hop such as Chance the rapper, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Drake, J Cole, Eminem and many others. Gangster rap is also a hardcore rap I enjoy that include  rap groups such as NWA that include Ice Cube, Mc Ren, Easy E (RIP), Dr Dre, DJ Yella, The D.O.C. and the Arabian Prince. Although these are my favorite rappers and rap groups my favorite music group of all time is the Beatles that played music in the mid 60s to early 70s. They are thought to be one of the most iconic bands of all time behind there lead vocalists John Lennon and Paul Mcartney. This is only a brief view of all the muscians and artists I enjoy, but I hope after you read this I will persuade you to try some of these iconic artists and bands and see if you like them!

Culture
People in Fortuna and people all over Humboldt County and California come to many festivals held in Fortuna. Many of these activities include rodeo, autorama, sporting events, hops in Humboldt, and many others. The rodeo held at Rohner park in Fortuna has many game such as quadiators, where people on quad with plastic baseball bats attempt to hit balloons off of others on quads. This is very intertaining but scary! Rohner park is a beautiful park filled with wonderful trees and wild life. Autorama is a car show that happens every year in the summer where all the best cars get together and ride in a parade. Many sporting events such as Basketball, football, soccer, baseball, etc. Are all player and cheered for throughout the county. I personally only play basketball but enjoy cheering on my school in all sports. Hops in Humboldt is also held at Rohner park and is a beer and wine tasting festival with many local beers and wines. Also coming up in November is the Apple Harvest where there is Apple everything! The best apples and apple cider come from local store Cledenin's just down the street from Fortuna having a hundred year old orchard. There are many other festivities that take place in Fortuna and Humboldt County but these are some of the main one's that you should go too!
